The Philippines has received the biggest vaccine delivery with 2.27 million Pfizer doses from the COVAX global facility on Thursday, June 10.

The shipment, containing 2,279,160 Pfizer doses, is the second batch of Pfizer vaccine donations to the country, amounting to a total of 12 million vaccine doses received.

According to the National Task Force for COVID-19 (NTF), vaccines will be brought to the Pharmaserv warehouse in Marikina City after their arrival.

Cebu and Davao will each get 210,600 vaccine doses from the latest shipment, while the rest of the doses will be distributed to Metro Manila and other nearby provinces.

This largest single delivery of Pfizer doses is expected to improve the vaccination drive in the Philippines.

As of today, 1.6 million Filipinos, which roughly amounts to 1.5% of the total population, have been fully vaccinated.
